Nova Prospekt is a relatively new metalcore band from Gothenburg, Sweden. I discovered them on a Swedish forum a couple of months ago. One song I really liked was their song Shift, which is their newest release and was released back in September, 2012. They’ve released one E.P so far called Industrial World, which was released for free on The Pirate Bay. The band consists of Tintin Jönsson (Vocals & programming), Karl Prytz (Bass & vocals), Victor Fridefors (Guitars) & Emil Mansfeld (Drums).
Shift is a very cool and unique song. It’s unique in the sense that it uses a lot of synths and the vocals sometimes blend in to the background. The vocals contain a lot of clean singing and some screaming. It’s not your typical metalcore track which makes it fresh and new. Both Tintin Jönsson and Karl Prytz do a fine work on the vocals and the song is very well done, considering they’re an unsigned band. Definitely a band to keep an eye on!
